The trees are over populated now with the young of the Cattle And White Egrets,  there are quite a few already fallen out of the trees. and looking somewhat dazed at the new surroundings that they will spend the rest of their life in.

The Greco

Not sure if its right what people say , the Greco inspered velcro.  but they sure  act like they have velcro on the feet.

Smooth or rough surface its no problem, they make a good pet around the place,   beats using fly spray to   kill flies and midges . only problem is the leave the droppings on the wall then clean themselves by dragging their back end along the wall,  cant have it all ways I tell myself.   I mean house training.

the lazy heron  or clever heron  cought this as it was going into the fish trap  many of these birds get entangled in the fish traps.

King fishers feeding their young the nesting area is in the  mud bank there are several nests in this one area known as Banana island Luxor Egypt.  this one day I counted 24  in this one area

I am sorry that my photos are only half the normal size when clicked on. this is due to upload problems now I have deleted google products such as  picasa3  and  motzilla fire fox. so many probs with the software.   its a lot more work now  but thats  nile life.

Whoopoe  with food for its chicks hidden away in the top of the papya tree.

Little white egret looks a bit wind swept.

Still nest building even though most are now sitting some have even hatched,

Night life, greco

Considering I have not been out of my flat today, due to back problems.
I have seen 3  pairs of turtle doves,  several sparrows came and sat on my balcony railing. a kestrel. lots of pigeons, a couple of hooded crows fighting over a piece of bread. and this evening  I have been watching the Grecos (3) Chasing flies on the wall across the alleyway.
amazes me how they can move just as fast up a wall as along the flat.

Cuddly donkey

Not exactly wildlife. but this cuddly looking baby was with its mum on the marshland, I even had a cuddle just to check if it was as cuddly as it looked,  soooo  nice.

She seemed to enjoy a bit of nicety from a human  only about a week old so she was not tethered
 and followed me  into the marsh land for a while before she realized mums milk was a bit to far away.
