Nile pollution by Dr Samir Fawak
This is the area That I have taken lots of photos of the wild life
I put a complaint in to this****** council leader Dr Samir Fawak
http://www.myegypt.co.uk/index.php?f=data_home&a=5
but as you can see no one cares its almost too late now to save the reed beds.
And already the pond behind this pile of rubbish has lost its life line to the Nile the pond will get stagnant and that will be the end of its wild life. as you can see from my past photos some of the rarest birds have stopped here on migration,
all these people think about is money, not one person here in Egypt has raised any concerns over this Nile pollution some of the stuff they have buried here is toxic waste and rubbish from the hospital they took down. out of sight out of mind. but it will get into the nile the nile is 2 meters high at times that means it will filtrate this rubbish and its toxic waste will get into the Nile as it recedes, (lowers)
They are still burning plastic and anything that has no monetary value.
This photo is taken half way on the fill looking down to the Nile

29/11/09 All leveled off now withits rubish under 3" of soil. Bloody stuppid people think that growing crop food here will not harm them.
look at Chernobyl. still the crops are contaminated . and people dying.

Round bottom
One just for Mary this one has a rounded rear end not that I went hunting especially for you to see its rear end, http://faithfabricandphotos.blogspot.com/
but what you said quite intrigued me.
a cricket , This also had a rounded rear end. must be the season .
What was Queens song about round bottomed girls.
Another dragon today this was in a pond I had not visited before.
just on the outskirts of Luxor center.

Bee and wasp
Coke-cola
My first greeting this day of prayer for the Muslims was,
I want money.
me too; I said.
thankfully he had gone by the time I had come back 4 hours later.
My poor feet after 10 kilometer walk today. I never wear socks
because my feet will sweat then I get blisters. so all the dust and
whatever I walk through some will end up in my shoes
On arravil back to my place of rest a cool coke for my feet and a
bubble pipe to get me relaxed, after all the hassle. one thing that
these idiots do not understand is the need to go out to take photos .
On seeing what they think is a stupid tourist with a camera they
put a nice smile on and do the click click motion of a camera ,
Then I ask how much 2 euro was the price today, not enough I said
, how much you pay? No I said: you pay me. if you need your picture taken you pay me,
Then they realize that I am speaking in their native tongue. well what little I know,
were you from? which country ? where you go? not your business ,
that is my favorite answer as they seem to know what that means.
do you want your photo taken then it will be 5 euro.
And I will put your photo in the kodak shop later, and off they go swearing under their breath.
f*** the tourist. mish michilah. I say, (In your dreams)
just above me is a tree full of sparrows about twenty flew in , sparrows were already showering me with dead leaves. from the Accasia and Henna tree. time to move methinks. before they shower me with other stuff.
Pocket camera shot of my caked mud shoes after prancing
about in the banana plantation trying to get a decent photo of the Kite.
Maybe that is why these shoes are left here on the edge of the field.
Had to be careful and look where I was stepping the plantation
had just been inundated and was like mud glue. but needs must
and I eventually got close enough to get some half decent photos of the Kite.
my hiding place with the ripening Tangerines and a canopy of banana leaves
First sighting shots from the edge of the plantation
Then I get a stern warning from the farmer who had his hand out
just like the beggars. not your land I said why you feed your sheep on this land.
I am Egyptian he said. Then I went into my little bit of Arabic. does that mean
if I live here I can go on this land. then I pointed to my place across the fields.
Ah you are Egyptian . another duty free stop.
Spider heaven ,

Honey bees
As soon As I got to the area where I could see my flat across
the fields I headed in that direction I was getting tired so
decided on a shortcut home.
I keep forgetting that just because I have no Arthritis hear and
can get about quite freely , I have 3 slipped discs and have to be
careful with my back
or tomorrow I will be laid up in agony . and it was a case of
taking the short cut or another 4 k all the way around to my flat,
there are no microbusses from here to my home,
a few yards into the field there was a clump of Date palms and in
the shade of them was this colony of honey bees. but I could not get
real close, it would only Aggravate them then I would have more
problems than my back to cope with. after the third shot of them
entering the Hive. I was away there was rather a lot of them and
there was a chance of getting stung,
Young accasia Trees have been planted in abundance in this area.
for the bees.

toad stools
I know my intention today was just looking for spiders but when I see creatures like the lark and so on that I share my life with
I just have to share .
This is the lane by the canal that leads up to my flat the
main road into Luxor is about 10 yards from me on the other
side of the canal, all of todays photos are taken near or along
this path. from me to the far mango tree is about 2000 yds
the donkey cart is 1/4 of the way.
there were only a few dragons and even less damsels today.
and not as brightly colored as the last ones I managed to capture,
These are growing on dried reed ever so small. they are the first toadstools I have seen here.
unlike Wales with all its damp weather.
And a skimmer with a damaged tail ,
I just have to share .
